The AGIP (Government Revenue Agency of Buenos Aires) project aimed to develop an application
that would allow both
agents and end users to fully manage all their responsibilities as citizens of the
Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.
This project emerged during the pandemic, which created an urgent need to digitize many
processes that had previously
been handled analogously. The challenge was to create a platform that was always accessible
to both AGIP agents and
citizens.
América Virtual was the consulting firm responsible for executing the project. The team
consisted of two UX designers,
three developers, two functional analysts, and a project manager.
The design process began with interviews with AGIP agents, complemented by visits to their
offices. This allowed us to
gain a deep understanding of their working environment and context, providing valuable
insights on how to approach the
interface design.
With the information gathered from the interviews and office visits, we began the design
process, working iteratively on
small features that gradually increased in complexity.
All design decisions were first validated internally with the
team and then with the client, who provided feedback to refine and improve the elements
according to their needs.
As the project progressed and we accumulated various features, we decided to create a design
system. This system ensured
visual and functional consistency across all platforms. Scalability and accessibility were
key pillars, speeding up the
work between design and development and ensuring that the platform, as a public service, was
accessible to everyone.
During the last six months, I assumed the role of sole designer, leading the entire process
from the discovery of new
features to the final handoff to the development team.
In this portfolio case study, I showcase screens of the design system we created, along with
small user flows for the
end user.
While I’m unable to showcase everything publicly due to confidentiality, I have a broader
range of work and features that I’ve designed stored locally. These reflect my comprehensive
involvement in shaping the product and refining its functionality to better serve its users.
